Heat Treating Aluminum

Aerospace Parts Manufacturing

Jones Metal is a high-level Nadcap-accredited heat treater. We got into heat treating about 20 years ago, and now we have 2 furnaces, 3 aging ovens, and a vacuum oven. This has helped us, especially to deliver for our aerospace customers’ projects that might require several iterations of a process. One part could take up to a year to develop if we didn’t have all of this here in our location. We can keep things going; heat treat overnight and be back on the press the next day.

As a Nadcap-accredited heat treater, we are held to some special requirements of Nadcap that a normal heat treater wouldn't be held to, and there are steps we take to set ourselves apart such as:

•    measuring the accuracy of our equipment every month
•    having machinery that operates on a very tight tolerance
•    an expensive freezer that comes back up to temperature quickly according to specifications
•    taking care with how we load the parts into the basket so there is even temperature, and we even have thermocouples to ensure that each part is at temperature for the proper amount of time
•    how parts are quenched - we have 15% glycol solution in one quench tank and in the other tank we have hot water/cold water
•    we can heat treat aluminum or vacuum heat treat at the highest level

We're heat treaters who can turn around product within a week's time. It sets us apart from others in the industry. And as with all of our services, we pride ourselves on quality and being on time.

If you have tight specifications from an OEM you need to hit, give us a call at 888-479-9566 or submit your pictures or prints and we can talk about how we can do business together.
